Over 200 people took time out of their busy schedules on Wednesday, March 8th, to attend and support 8Eyez’ most recent event. 8Eyez threw a fantastic event “Female Takeover” to celebrate and showcase female performers from different artistic backgrounds. There was no better day than International Women’s Day! This day was filled with female dancers, singers, rappers and spoken word artists. They also had female entrepreneurs showcasing their brands which consisted of apparel, accessories and more. Shanny Shanz and Flower Child were the hosts for the night, entertaining the audience and giving us all the information about the artist performing on the day. Throughout the event, we watched, enjoyed, danced, played games and celebrated other people doing their thaang. To add to the event there was a panel of judges all from different backgrounds talking about their success, their failures and inspiring the crowd to push on and tips on how to stay consistent and successful. Other than the great entertainment, the inspirational talks and encouragement was a lovely thing to see at an event.
